Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 8 c. flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks melted butter
  • 16 oz. sour cream
  • additional melted butter to brush on dough
  • cinnamon, brown sugar, raisins and nuts as desired

Directions

    Mix together yeast, 1 teaspoon sugar and warm water; set aside for 10 to 15 minutes.

    Mix flour into yeast mixture; add eggs, 2/3 cup sugar, butter and sour cream, then knead.

    Put into greased bowl and cover; let rise approximately 4 hours.

    Divide in 4 sections.

    Roll out each and brush with butter.

    Sprinkle cinnamon, brown sugar, raisins and nuts and roll up.

    Cut and put in greased pans and let rise.

    Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes. Drizzle with powdered sugar and water mixture.
