- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. melted butter
- cinnamon/sugar mixture
- raisins (optional)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2In bowl mix flour and baking powder. With pastry blender (or a fork), cut in shortening until mixture looks like coarse meal.

3Add milk and stir enough to hold dough together.

4Place on floured board, knead lightly about 10 times. Roll dough 1/2 inch thick.

5Brush with melted butter.

6Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture and raisins.

7Roll up into log shape. Cut into 3/4-inch pieces.

8Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

9Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until browned.
