- 23 cup milk
- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 6 tablespoons vegetable shortening
- 23 cup water warm
- 1 x yeast, compressed
- 3 large eggs beaten
- 3 cups flour, all-purpose sifted
- 3 cups flour, all-purpose
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup raisins, seedless
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
Directions

1In bowl, place warm water, 3 tablespoon sugar, and yeast.

2Let yeast dissolve.

3In mixer bowl put milk mixture and yeast mixture along with the eggs and 3 cup flour.

4Beat at high speed for a few minutes.

5Turn mixer to low and add last 3 cup flour.

6Put into a floured bowl and knead.

7Put into a greased bowl and let rise for 1 hour.

8Punch down.

9Divide in 1/2.

10Roll out each 1/2 into a rectangle abour 1/4 inch thick.

11Brush with melted butter.

12Mix brown sugar, raisins and cinnamon.

13Sprinkle onto dough.

14Roll as for jelly-roll.

15Cut into 1 inch slices.

16Put in greased pans.

17Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.

18Bake at 400 degrees until good and browned, for 20 minutes.

19Watch carefully.

20Ice with mixture of confectioner's sugar and coffee.
