  • 1 yeast cake
  • 1 heaping Tbsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Wesson or Crisco oil
  • 2 1/4 c. warm water (hot, but not to burn finger)
  • 8 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 to 1 stick melted butter
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon to taste
  • 1/3 to 1/2 c. brown sugar

Directions

    Crumble yeast cake in bowl. Add salt, sugar, oil and water. Stir until mixed. Add flour; knead and put into greased bowl. Let rise about 1 hour. Shape into buns. Let rise another hour. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
