- 1 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 3 1/2 Tbsp. yeast, dissolved in 1 3/4 c. warm water
- butter, softened
- cinnamon sugar
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 3/4 c. boiling water
- 9 c. flour
Directions

1Combine shortening, sugar, salt and boiling water.

2Beat eggs and add to first mixture.

3Dissolve yeast in warm water and add. Add flour and mix well.

4Place in refrigerator to chill.

5Remove dough from refrigerator and roll to 1/4-inch thickness.

6Spread with butter and then with cinnamon sugar.

7Roll into a long roll; cut into rolls 1-inch thick.

8Put in buttered pan and mash down lightly.

9Put back in refrigerator until needed.

10Turn oven and set temperature to 400°.

11Put rolls into cold oven and bake until done.
