  • 1 cake yeast or dry yeast, dissolved in warm water (let rise)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 5 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 c. milk (scald), warm
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 c. melted butter or margarine
  • Topping (cinnamon and sugar, mixed)
  • 6 c. flour, or less

    Preheat oven to 375°.

    Mix liquid ingredients first and slowly add dry ingredients.

    When dough is fluffy, roll 1/4-inch thick, brush with butter or margarine and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.

    Roll like a jelly roll and slice with a very sharp knife. Place on greased baking sheet 1-inch apart.

    Let raise and bake for 20 minutes.

    Frost.
