- 24 slices of firm white sandwich bread, crusts trimmed
- 1 (8oz) brick cream cheese, not 1/3 less fat, softened
- yolk from 1 large egg
- 1-1/4 c sugar
- 1 T ground cinnamon
- 1 stick unsalted butter or margarine, melted
Directions

1Roll bread slices flat with a rolling pin.

2Mix cream cheese, egg yolk and 1/4c sugar.

3Spread a scant tbsp on each slice; roll up tightly.

4Mix remaining sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.

5Brush rollups (including ends) with butter; roll in sugar mixture to coat.

6Place on cookie sheet.

7Refrigerate or freeze at least 2 hours.

8(To store, freeze up to 2 months)

9Heat oven to 400F.

10Bake rollups on cookie sheet 9 - 12 minutes until bottoms are glazed and golden brown.

11Remove immediately to a wire rack to cool.

12Cut each diagonally in 3 pieces.

13Eat warm or cold.
