- 3 cans mandarin oranges, drained
- 3 cans grapefruit sections, drained
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. lemon juice
- 2 avocados
Directions

1Combine orange and grapefruit sections.

2Make syrup from sugar, water, cinnamon and nutmeg.

3Bring to boil, stirring to dissolve sugar.

4Add 1/2 cup lemon juice and cool.

5Pour syrup over oranges and grapefruit and marinate overnight.

6Just before serving, add sliced avocado.

7This can be drained and served on lettuce or you can serve undrained in cups, etc.

8Serves 8 to 10.
