- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 3/4 stick margarine
- 3 (7 oz.) cans chopped clams
- 3 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 6 Tbsp. flour
- 2 (8 oz.) bottles clam juice
- 1 pt. half and half
- 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions

1In a large pot, saute onion in margarine.

2Remove from heat; stir in flour.

3Add clam juice and clams.

4Let thicken and boil for 1 minute.

5Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.

6Blend in cream, tomato paste and lemon juice.

7Heat slowly.

8Makes 12 (1 cup) servings.
