  • 15 oz. chopped clams
  • 24 oz. clam juice
  • 2 oz. Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 oz. tomato paste
  • 15 oz. tomatoes, canned or fresh
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1 c. diced onions
  • 1 c. diced carrots
  • 1 c. diced turnips
  • 1 c. chopped parsley
  • 2 c. diced potatoes
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Old Bay seasoning

    Combine ingredients into large pot (6 quart).

    Cook on high for 3 hours then turn down heat to simmer for 2 hours.

    Makes 3 1/2 quarts of spicy clam chowder.
