- 2 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 c. chopped parsley
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 small can clams, diced
- 1/4 c. chopped celery
Directions

1Combine potatoes, onion, celery, parsley, water and salt in saucepan.

2Cook on low until vegetables are tender.

3Mash some of the potatoes with a fork.

4Drain clams, reserving juice.

5Add clams and milk to vegetable mixture; heat just to boiling. Combine clam juice and flour, making a smooth paste.

6Stir into chowder; heat until slightly thickened.

7Stir constantly.
