- 1 c. onion, finely chopped
- 1 c. celery, finely chopped
- 2 c. diced potatoes
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 3/4 c. butter
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1 qt. half and half
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- pepper to taste
Directions

1Drain juice from clams and pour over vegetables in medium saucepan.

2Add salt and enough water to cover.

3Simmer, covered, over medium heat until potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
