- 2 bacon slices, diced
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. cubed, pared potatoes
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 8 crushed soda crackers
- dash of pepper
- 3 (7 1/2 oz.) cans minced clams
- 2 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1In medium kettle, saute bacon until almost crisp.

2Add onion; cook until tender, 5 minutes.

3Add potatoes, salt, pepper and 1 1/2 cups water.

4Cook, covered, for 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

5Add clams and liquid, milk and butter and cook 3 minutes. Sprinkle in crackers and heat through.

6Do not boil.

7Serves 8 small or 4 large.
