Ingredients
- 1 pkg. chopped clams
- 5 slices bacon, diced
- 3/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- water
- 2 c. diced potatoes
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1 Tbsp. minced parsley
Directions

1Thaw and drain clams, reserving liquid.

2Fry bacon until crisp. Remove bacon and drain.

3Saute onion and celery in bacon fat.

4Add water to reserved clam liquid to make 2 cups.

5Add potatoes, water and clam liquid and seasonings to sauteed vegies.

6Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

7Add clams, evaporated milk and bacon.
-
8Heat through.

9Sprinkle with chopped parsley flakes.

10Yields 6 servings.
