- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 gal. milk
- 1/2 c. finely chopped celery (leave some of the leaves on)
- 1/2 c. onions, finely chopped
- 1 (6 oz.) can clams, finely chopped
- 1 Tbsp. onion salt
Directions

1Use very large, microwavable container.

2Make roux from 1 stick butter and 1/2 cup flour.

3Cook in microwave on High, about 2 minutes.

4Stir until it is smooth.

5Add roux mixture to clam chowder and place on lower than Medium (microwaves vary, this would be about 4 on a Litton).

6Cook in microwave about 1 1/2 hours.
