  • 1 (20-ounce) package lean ground turkey
  • 1 medium (1 cup) onion, chopped
  • 1 small (1/2 cup) green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 rib (1/2 cup) celery, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic
  • 2 (14.5-ounce) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 (16-ounce) cans kidney beans, undrained
  • 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 8 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes Deli American, cut in half diagonally

Directions

    Melt butter in 5-quart saucepan until sizzling; add ground turkey, onions, green pepper, celery and garlic.

    Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, 12-15 minutes or until meat is browned.

    Drain off fat.

    Stir in all remaining ingredients except cheese.

    Continue cooking 10-12 minutes or until mixture comes to a full boil.

    Reduce heat to low.
