- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour, all-purpose
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 x frosting
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350F (180C).

2In large bowl mix together sugar, flour and cocoa.

3In saucepan melt butter, water and oil together.

4Bring to boil.

5Pour over dry mixture.

6Blend well.

7Add eggs, buttermilk, baking soda and almond extract.

8Blend thoroughly.

9Pour into rectangular baking pan.

10Microwave until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean.

11About 10 to 12 minutes.

12Remove cake from oven.

13Spread icing evenly over cake.
