Classic Peanut Butter Pie

  • 1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
  • 1/2 c. peanut butter
  • 3/4 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 can Eagle Brand milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (4 serving) pkg. vanilla flavor pudding (not instant)
  • 1 (8 oz.) container sour cream
  • Cool Whip for topping

Directions

    In small bowl, cut peanut butter into powdered sugar until crumbly.

    Sprinkle into prepared crust (reserve small amount for topping).

    In medium saucepan, combine Eagle Brand milk, egg yolks, water and pudding mix.

    Over medium heat, cook until thickened.

    Cool 15 minutes.

    Beat in sour cream.

    Spoon into shell.

    Top with Cool Whip and sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.

    Refrigerate leftovers.
