- 1 pinch coarse sea salt
- 60 small fresh basil leaves or 30 large fresh basil leaves, rinsed and dried
- 3 garlic cloves, peeled
- 3 tablespoons pine nuts, lightly toasted
- 2 tablespoons pecorino romano cheese, fresh, finely grated
- 2 tablespoons parmigiano-reggiano cheese, fresh, finely grated
- 3 -4 tablespoons virgin olive oil
- 1 lb gnocchi
Directions

1Cook gnocchi as directed on package.

2In a blender add basil, salt and garlic.

3Blend into a paste, add pine nuts and slowly pour half of the olive oil.

4Add cheese and the remaining olive oil.

5Blend until it becomes a creamy paste.

6Pour over gnocchi and serve.
