Classic Tomato Aspic

Ingredients
- 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
- 1/2 c. cold water
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3 c. tomato juice
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. prepared horseradish
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- lettuce leaves
Directions

1Sprinkle gelatin over cold water in a medium saucepan. Let stand 1 minute.

2Add tomato juice to remaining ingredients except lettuce.

3Cook over medium heat, stirring until gelatin dissolves. Cool to room temperature.

4Pour mixture into a lightly oiled 4-cup mold.

5Cover and chill at least 8 hours.

6Unmold onto a lettuce lined plate.

7Yields 6 to 8 servings.
