- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 beaten egg
- 2/3 c. milk
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients together.

2Using pastry blender, cut in butter until consistency of coarse meal.

3Add milk and egg.

4Stir with fork until soft dough forms.

5Turn onto floured surface. Knead gently 10 to 12 times.

6Roll to 1/2 inch thickness.

7Cut with 2 inch cutter.

8Bake at 400° for 15 minutes or until brown.
