- 2 1/4 c. self-rising flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2/3 c. milk
Directions

1Combine flour and sugar in a medium bowl; mix well.

2Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.

3Combine egg and milk; add to flour mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.

4Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead dough 3 or 4 times.

5Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness and cut with biscuit cutter.

6Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 10 to 12 minutes at 450°.
