Ingredients

  • 2 (1/4 ounce) packages active dry yeast
  • 12 cup warm water (110*)
  • 1 12 cups warm milk
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 14 cup shortening
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 6 cups all-purpose flour

Directions

    In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in water.

    Beat in milk, sugar, egg, shortening, salt and 2 cups flour until smooth.

    Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.

    Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minute.

    Place in a greased bowl, turning once to coat top.

    Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hours

    Punch dough down.

    Roll into 90 balls; place three balls each in greased muffin cups.

    Cover and let rise until doubled, about 45 minute

    Bake at 375* for 12-14 min or until golden brown.
