Ingredients: 3 eggs; 2 c. granulated sugar; 2 sticks margarine; 1/2 c. water; 2 1/2 c. flour; 2 Tbsp. cocoa; 1 tsp. baking soda; 1 tsp. cinnamon; 1 tsp. allspice; 1 c. finely chopped walnuts; 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits; 2 c. grated apples; 1 Tbsp. vanilla

3 eggs
2 c. granulated sugar
2 sticks margarine
1/2 c. water
2 1/2 c. flour
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 c. finely chopped walnuts
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits
2 c. grated apples
1 Tbsp. vanilla

Directions

Cream together until fluffy eggs, sugar, margarine and water. Sift together flour, cocoa, soda, cinnamon and allspice.

Add to creamed mixture and mix well.

Fold in walnuts, chocolate bits, apples and vanilla; mix until distributed evenly.

Spoon into greased and floured 10-inch loose-bottom tube pan.

Bake in 325° oven 60 to 70 minutes until cake tests done.
