Ingredients: 3 eggs; 2 c. sugar; 1 c. (2 sticks) margarine; 1/2 c. water; 2 1/2 c. flour; 2 Tbsp. cocoa; 1 Tbsp. vanilla; 1 tsp. baking soda; 1 tsp. cinnamon; 1 tsp. allspice; 1 c. finely chopped nuts; 1/2 c. chocolate chips; 2 apples, cored and grated or finely chopped (2 c.)

1 c. (2 sticks) margarine
1/2 c. water
2 1/2 c. flour
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 c. finely chopped nuts
1/2 c. chocolate chips
2 apples, cored and grated or finely chopped (2 c.)

Directions

Beat together eggs, sugar, margarine and water until fluffy. Sift together flour, cocoa, soda, cinnamon and allspice.

Add to the creamed mixture and mix well.

Add vanilla.

Fold in nuts, chocolate chips and apples until evenly distributed.

Grease and flour a 10-inch loose bottom tube pan.

Bake for 60 to 70 minutes at 325°.
