- 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. cocoa
- 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 1 c. finely chopped nuts
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease and flour a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.

3In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except nuts.

4Beat with spoon 30 seconds. Stir in nuts.

5Pour into prepared pan. Bake 60 to 70 minutes. Insert wooden pick in center.

6If clean when removed, bread is done. Cool 10 minutes.

7Remove from pan. Wrap tightly in foil. Cool completely.

8Yields 1 loaf.
