  • 1 stick margarine or butter
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. flaked coconut
  • nuts, if desired

Directions

    Melt margarine in large mixing bowl.

    Beat in cocoa and sugar. When mixture is smooth, beat in eggs, one at a time, then vanilla.

    Stir in flour, salt and coconut (nuts, if desired). Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 25 minutes at 350°. Let cool in pan on racks and cut into squares.

    Top with Creamy Brownie Frosting.
