- 4 eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 sticks butter
- 3 1/2 c. plain flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 (16 oz.) bag coconut
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. sweet milk
- pinch of baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract
Directions

1Cream sugar and butter together on low speed.

2Add eggs, one by one, beating continuously.

3Then add flour and milk.

4Continue mixing until nice and smooth.

5Add flavor.

6Pour into 3 (9-inch) layer cake pans.

7Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Frost with white frosting mixed with coconut after cooling completely.
