Coconut Cake

  • cake mix with pudding in it
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. coconut flavoring
  • 1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
  • 1 pkg. (about 4 to 6 oz.) flaked coconut

Directions

    Prepare cake mix as directed on box in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    In small saucepan bring milk and sugar to a boil.

    Cool for two minutes and add coconut flavoring.

    Poke holes in hot cake (a wooden spoon handle works well) and pour the milk mixture over. Cool cake completely.

    Ice with Cool Whip and sprinkle coconut over top.

    Refrigerate at least 1/2 hour before serving.

    Store any unused portion in refrigerator.
