- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 stick oleo
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 large can coconut
- 4 eggs (2 without whites)
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Beat sugar and eggs for 2 minutes, then add softened oleo. Beat until mixed well.

2Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add to mixture.

3Stir dry ingredients together and add to mixture along with the vanilla. Cook in three layers at 350°.

4Cook until cake springs back in center.
