- 1 pkg. butter recipe cake mix, baked following directions
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 6 oz. coconut
- 1 (13 1/2 oz.) container Cool Whip
- coconut (for garnish)
Directions

1While cake is baking, mix sugar and evaporated milk.

2Let simmer to a boil, then add grated coconut.

3When cake is done, punch holes in top with a fork and pour mixture over entire cake. Spread with a spoon.

4After cake cools, spread with a 13 1/2 ounce size Cool Whip and sprinkle coconut on top as desired.

5Cover and refrigerate.
