- 5 eggs, reserving whites for icing
- 3 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add one egg at a time, beating after each one.

3Add flour, sifted 5 or 6 times with baking powder, alternately with milk.

4Add vanilla.

5Bake in 3 (9-inch) layers at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.

6Cool and frost.
