- 1 stick Butter
- 1/2 cups Crisco
- 2 cups Sugar
- 5 whole Eggs
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 2 cups Flour
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 cup Coconut
Directions

1Cream butter, Crisco and sugar together well. Add eggs, one at a time. Alternate adding buttermilk and remaining ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes if making three 8-inch layers, or for 35 minutes if making two -inch layers.

2Frost with my Cream Cheese icing and press toasted coconut on top for a very pretty cake.
