- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 c. coconut
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

2Mix in egg, vanilla and salt.

3Add flour, a little at a time.

4Stir in coconut.

5Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet.

6Flatten with floured bottom of a glass.

7Sprinkle with additional coconut, if desired. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes or until golden brown around edges. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
