- 3 c. sugar
- 2 pkg. frozen coconut or 1 lg. coconut freshly grated
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 stick butter
- 1 t. vanilla
Directions

1Cook sugar and milk together until it changes color from white to oyster white.

2Remove from heat and add butter, mix, then add vanilla, mix well.

3Stir in fresh or defrosted coconut.

4Cool to luke-warm and put between layers and on sides and top of cake.
