  • 1/2 pounds, 1-7/8 ounces, weight Macaroon Coconut (unsweetened, Dried Coconut, Shredded Fine)
  • 1/2 pounds, 2-5/8 ounces, weight Sugar
  • 6 ounces, weight Egg Whites

Directions

    1) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, place over medium heat and stir constantly until the mixture reaches 130 degrees F.

    2) Scoop the macaroons (using a #25 cookie scoop or a small ice cream scoop) onto a parchment-lined sheet pan.

    3) Bake until cookies are just golden brown, about 12-15 minutes.

    4) When completely cool, serve as is or dip bottoms into tempered (or coating) chocolate and allow to set on a clean sheet of parchment.
