- 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1 tsp. margarine
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 can flaked coconut
Directions

1Sift 1 cup sugar and flour together; add to milk.

2Beat egg yolks; add.

3Cook until mixture begins to thicken.

4Add margarine, 1 teaspoon vanilla and coconut.

5Reserve enough coconut to sprinkle on top.

6Cook until thick.

7Pour into pie crust.

8Beat egg whites until thick; add remaining sugar and vanilla.

9Beat until stiff.

10Put on pie; sprinkle with reserved coconut.

11Put in oven and brown.
