- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2/3 tsp. vanilla
- 3 egg yolks
- 2 c. sweet milk
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. coconut
Directions

1Mix sugar and melted butter.

2Add cornstarch and mix thoroughly.

3Add egg yolks, flavoring and salt.

4Add milk gradually.

5Set on heat in double boiler.

6Stir constantly until thick.

7Remove from heat and add 1/3 cup of coconut.

8Put in baked pie shell.

9Use egg whites for meringue.

10Sprinkle coconut on meringue and bake at 350° until brown.

11Makes one 9-inch or two small pies.
