- 34 cup sugar
- 13 cup flour
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup coconut, flaked
- 1 9-inch baked pie crust
Directions

1In a saucepan, combine sugar, flour, and salt; gradually add milk.

2Cook and stir 2 minutes longer.

3Remove from heat, stir in small amount of hot mixture into yolks; return to hot mixture, cook 2 minutes longer stirring constantly.

4Remove from heat.

5Add butter and vanilla.

6Stir until butter is melted.

7Add coconut.

8Pour into crust.

9Top with meringue and sprinkle with coconut.

10Brown.
