- 1 1/2 c. shortening (1 c. Crisco and 1 stick butter)
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 c. sweet milk (Borden sweetened condensed milk)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. coconut flavoring
- 3 c. cake flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. coconut
Directions

1Cream shortening and sugar.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

3Add milk and flavoring; mix.

4Add dry ingredients, which have been sifted together; mix well.

5Fold in coconut.

6Put batter in large tube pan.

7Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours.
