Coconut Pound Cake

  • 1 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 c. sweet milk
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 (3 1/2 oz.) can coconut
  • 1 tsp. coconut flavoring
  • 3 c. plain flour

Directions

    Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.

    Cream Crisco, sugar and eggs together; beat well.

    Add flour and milk alternately, ending with flour.

    Add coconut flavoring.

    Bake in tube pan or two loaf pans that have been greased and floured. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until done.

    Test with toothpick.
