  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Crisco oil
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. coconut flavoring
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Directions

    Cream sugar and Crisco; add eggs one at a time while beating. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add this mixture alternately with 1 cup buttermilk.

    Add coconut flavoring and Angel Flake coconut; stir well. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes.
