Coconut Pound Cake

- 2 sticks butter
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. coconut extract
- 1/4 tsp. almond extract
- 3 c. flour, sifted
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. shredded coconut
Directions

1Cream butter, shortening and sugar together until light and fluffy.

2Add 1 egg at a time, beating well after each egg. Alternate flour and salt with milk.

3Fold in coconut and extracts. Pour batter into a greased tube pan and put in cold oven.

4Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

5Sprinkle powdered sugar over warm cake.
