- 8 slices French bread
- butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. sugar
- pinch of salt
- coconut
Directions

1Spread butter on 1 side of each slice of bread.

2Beat together egg and sugar; add salt.

3Beat until a smooth paste; add enough coconut to the paste to make a spread.

4Spread coconut mixture on buttered side of bread, all the way to the edges.

5Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
