- 1/2 c. butter
- 2/3 c. confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. flour
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Cream butter and 1/3 cup sugar until light and fluffy.

2Add vanilla.

3Blend flour in gradually.

4Add nuts.

5Pinch off small quantities and shape into 1 1/2-inch cocoons with palms of hands. Place 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheet.

6Bake at 350° for 12 minutes or until cocoons dry out.

7While still warm, roll in remaining 1/3 cup of sugar.

8Makes 3 dozen.
