  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. oleo or butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. coffee
  • 6 Tbsp. cocoa (melt cocoa in hot coffee)
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    In large bowl, mix the sugar, oleo and eggs until well blended. Sift flour, soda and salt into same bowl, alternating with coffee-cocoa mixture.

    Add vanilla and mix all.

    Bake 25 to 30 minutes in a 350° oven.

    Makes 2 (9-inch) layers or 1 rectangle.
