- 2 c. milk
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. margarine or shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 3 eggs, beaten
Directions

1In large mixing bowl, put the sugar, margarine and salt.

2Pour the scalded milk over and let cool.

3Put 2 teaspoons sugar in warm water.

4Add yeast and let it get foamy.

5Add eggs to the milk mixture.

6Stir; add yeast, then flour and beat with enough flour to make a stiff dough.

7Turn out onto floured surface and knead until smooth.

8Grease bowl.

9Put in dough and turn to grease top. Let rise until double.

10Take out about 1/3 of the dough to floured surface and roll into a rectangle about 9 x 12-inch.

11Spread with melted margarine; sprinkle well with brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll and flatten a little.

12Place on well-greased cookie sheet or on pizza pan and bring ends together to form a circle.

13Cut in 1/2-inch slices nearly to the center and turn cut sides up.

14Let rise until nice and light.

15Bake in 375° oven until brown and done.

16Frost with powdered sugar glaze.
