Ingredients
- 4 c. unsifted flour
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1/2 c. chopped raisins
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
Directions

1Oil 2 (1-pound) coffee cans.

2Mix 2 cups flour with the yeast. Stir water, milk, butter, sugar and salt over low heat until butter melts.

3Cool about 5 minutes and add to the yeast mixture.

4Add nuts, fruit, eggs and remaining 2 cups flour.

5Knead about 10 minutes.

6Divide dough in half and put each half into a coffee can. Allow it to rise to 1-inch from the top of can.

7Bake at 375° for 35 minutes.

8Delicious toasted; easy to slice.
