Ingredients
- 4 c. unsifted flour
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
Directions

1You will need two 1 pound coffee cans.

2Mix 2 cups flour with yeast.

3Stir water, milk, butter, sugar and salt over low heat until butter melts.

4Cool 5 minutes.

5Add to flour and yeast.

6Add remaining flour and eggs.

7Dough will be stiff.

8Knead on floured surface until dough is smooth and elastic.

9Coat inside of each coffee can with small amount of oil.

10Divide dough in half; place half in each can.

11Cover with plastic tops.

12Let rise in warm place until dough reaches about 1 inch from top.

13Remove plastic and bake at 375° for about 35 minutes.

14Can substitute molasses for sugar. Can brush outside with honey and sprinkle with slivered almonds after cooking.
