- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 c. hot water
- 2 tsp. instant coffee
- 1 1/2 c. heavy cream
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Combine sugar, syrup, hot water, instant coffee and 3/4 c. sour cream.

2Cook over medium heat; stirring constantly until sugar dissolves.

3Continue cooking without stirring until candy thermometer reaches 226°, about 15 minutes.

4Add remaining 3/4 c. cream, butter and salt.

5Cook to hard ball stage (250°).

6Remove from heat; cool slightly and carefully stir in vanilla.

7Pour into buttered 8 inch square pan; cool.

8When firm; cut, wrap if desired.
